Return of Reason: Departure of Xterra
In 2006 when I returned from Iraq I bought a 2002 Xterra. I had great visions of stereotypical Colorado adventures in my new truck. You have all seen the commercials, and yes it had the integrated 1st aid kit! I spent the next two year dumping more money into it as my off-road project. I was able to put enough modifications on it to get me down to 12MPG! However, it is a very capable & very cool looking vehicle. Long story short-I learned a ton about vehicle maintenance and modification by working on my “X”. I spent far more time underneath it then I ever did using it in the mountains.
Now I live downtown, should walk to work, & despise finding a parking space everyday. Somehow I have made it 8 months in Capitol Hill without getting a ticket or towed (close call once). I have spent the last few months focusing on simplifying my life. I have reduced my commitment, bills, activities, and even clothes. Now it is time to get rid of the truck. This will be the next HUGE step in positioning myself for the next step in life: International Aid/Development

I promise you will get a lot of attention as you drive down the road, guys stopping you to ask about the mods, and girls asking how they are supposed to get in it….
