Learning as I go…

I am leaving for my first trip to Kenya on Sunday.  I will be staying in & around Nairobi until Nov 25th.  This trip is mainly a scouting/vision trip.  I will be looking for places to live, introducing myself to 1010 partners, & building out a budget for this next year’s adventure.  I should return with a much clearer picture of the what the next year will look like. (I’m going to see if I can start finding climbing partner too! Mt Kenya is calling…)  It is amazing how fast this trip snuck up on me though.  I still have so much to do before I leave. 

I started making my wish list too:

I really was hoping to grab these from First Ascent before I left.  Budget isn’t going to allow it though.  It is far past time for me to buy a new pack, & it would be nice to get gear that I can use to move to Kenya & for climbing trips.  (Again, Mt Kenya is calling!)

I will be working on capturing photos & maybe videos from this first trip that will help me launch a website to highlight my goals, vision, & purpose over the next year.  It should be a great way for me to stay connected to all of you who have encouraged me & continue to support this endeavor.
